Get started
Start with one problem before changing the whole factory.
Move through discovery, focused validation, operational handover and expansion.
The approach
How does it work?
- 01 Choose a problem
Agree on goals and checks first
- 02 Prepare together
Reduce duplicated preparation across projects
- 03 Validate at the site
Use evidence to decide the next investment
- 04 Expand
Reuse the foundation for the next use case

Scope and considerations
1. Discovery and objectives
Choose a task and a person who can evaluate its result. Review equipment, systems, accessible data and manual work. Use an observable objective such as collecting stop-investigation evidence in one place.
Suggested outputs: priority use case, equipment group, source inventory, owners and acceptance criteria. Timing depends on access and preparation.
2. Connection and validation
Connect the initial equipment with a read-first scope. Align tags, units and time, then test normal production, stops and connection recovery. Validate MES or inspection mapping when required.
Suggested outputs: mappings, quality results, verified views and unresolved items with a remediation plan. Connectivity alone is not analytical readiness.
3. Workflow validation and handover
Have operators use real questions and compare with the current process. For NAVIS, validate evidence, proposal fit, approval/rejection and results separately. Agree access, backup, incident, update and support responsibilities before handover.
Suggested outputs: validation results, operating procedures, training, support scope and open issues. Contractual acceptance is agreed separately.
4. Expand by equipment group and site
Reuse verified connections, dictionaries, views, ontology and knowledge while checking equipment and product differences. Re-size infrastructure as ingestion and queries grow, and review operating-team readiness.
This roadmap is a planning framework, not a fixed-duration, fixed-price contract or universal deliverable promise.
